State and Federal Prisons are filled with inmates/defendants that were represented by "Public Defenders" aka Public Pretenders. In most cases these are lawyers fresh from law school that no law firm wants and they cannot hang a shingle and go for it as a solo practitioner. "The Postal Service is putting our historic Berkeley Main Post Office building up for sale under the guise of a 'relocation of retail services,'" said Bates in the statement. While Bermuda has its triangle, Burnaby has its sextagon the provincial Burnaby Lougheed riding has become an unexpected realm of political intrigue and superstition. The stretch of East Burnaby became infamous as the riding of former Liberal MLA Harry Bloy, who was embroiled in one controversy after another in recent years, most involving leaked documents. The residents and Liberal government, no doubt breathed a collective sigh of relief when Bloy did not run in the May election. But the political roller coaster was not over for residents of the riding. On the downside, though, while it has indeed opened first on both North American and overseas box office upon its first weekend release, it only has a mild opening weekend with $55.2 million bow. And, despite the $150 million budget and Warner Bros. Pictures effort in promoting this movie, it still fared lower than what "Fantastic Four", which was made with the budget of $100 million, has pulled in on its first weekend in theaters.
The NFL, the world's richest sports league, endured an 18 week summer lockout as owners and players bickered over how to divide $9bn of annual revenue. College football, supposedly amateur but a giant industry in its own right, has been hit by scandal after scandal, culminating in the dreadful sexual abuse allegations at Penn State. One thing though remains constant. The Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers rule.

Perry entered the race last August to great fanfare and high numbers in polls. But his standing quickly fell after a series of gaffes and other verbal missteps.
