Thanks for your post. I also think laptop computers have gotten more and more popular nowadays, and now in many cases are the only form of computer employed in a household. It is because at the same time they are becoming more and more very affordable, their working power keeps growing to the point where these are as robust as personal computers through just a few in years past.

the keys are designed to come off so that if the lertets wear away you can replace individual keys without needing to replace the whole keyboard. The Plastic clips underneath are often a bit fiddly to get back in correctly but take a good one off and see how it fits and then replace the rest. The only issue you may have is if the plastic gate clips are broken, you can get new ones but they are hard to find and there are many different types and sizes, your best bet is a laptop repair shop and take the old clips with you (as well as the laptop and loose keys).Paying someone to do it is often expensive as this is a fiddly time consuming job and it is possibly cheaper to buy a new one from Acer Direct or from eBay.To replace the keyboard is a case of removing a few screws, probably removing the cover at the top by the screen (it just clips in) and releasing the data cable. Installation is just the reverse. It takes less than 5 minutes if you know what you are doing.
