Pretty delivered a heart of rose and white florals along with citrus fruits and plump, plummy notes, which I guess are peach notes although they also resemble apple notes (while the bottle resembles a heart shaped apple, no less). I get a hint of peach (a note I love), but the overall impression is of plums, apples and oranges, All American fruits from the orchards of New York to sunny Florida and California. There's a new note in it called petalia, which I have no clue what it smells like on its own, so maybe there's some plummy characteristic to this new technological breakthrough by Givaudan. Also, this scent is clean and sporty with more aqueous (synthetic water) notes than I can take for too long. It's no wonder I was asked if I was wearing Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio when I testdrove it. There is an inconspicuously sweet (not too sensual, more traditional and functional) vanillic ambery base, but it's sheer, more woody than gourmand, and the full floral heart puts Pretty firmly in the Floral fragrance family. The composition is soft and not at all overpowering but it's voluptuously floral and carries well in a room. In a nutshell, it smells like Happy and Beautiful had a child named Pretty. Pretty might have hung out with Benefit Maybe Baby until her parents found her to be a bad influence and asked her to please be associated instead with Kate Spade.
