Louis Vuitton has plenty of love for Valentines Day - PurseBlog For some reason, Louis Vuitton hits it out of the park for Valentine's Day better than any other brand this side of Cartier. (Not that Cartier does anything in particular for the holiday, but, you know, DIAMONDS.) Vuitton always has a few heart-shaped small leather goods on hand at this time of year for the occasion, and this year's V-Day vernis is striped in red and pink (it also comes in a darker jewel-toned version). If you think the lady on your list has enough key holders, wallets and bag charms to last a lifetime, Vuitton also has a couple jewelry options. We've picked a few of the best after the jump, and many of the options are $500 or less. The entire range can be found at LouisVuitton.com, and remember, the big day is only a week away.Louis Vuitton Coeur Coin Purse, $500 via Louis VuittonLouis Vuitton Lock Me Earrings, $460 via Louis VuittonLouis Vuitton Vernis Striped Mirror Case, $360 via Louis VuittonLouis Vuitton Coeur Rayures Key Holder, $350 via Louis VuittonLouis Vuitton Vernis Sarah Wallet, $815 via Louis VuittonLouis Vuitton Lock Me Bracelet, $580 via Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton is once again the worlds most powerful luxury brand - PurseBlog Every year, consulting firm Millward Brown Optimor takes stock of the global luxury industry and decides who the key players are based on revenue, profits and overall brand value. And every year, Louis Vuitton takes the top spot with a valuation even more massive than the year before. Fashionista.com reports that according to Millward Brown Optimor, Vuitton's worth was up 23% in 2010 over 2009, a year when it was also the most powerful and wealthy luxury brand on the face of the planet. That puts its value at over twice that of Hermes, it's next closest competitor and also a big gainer for 2010 with a 41% jump in valuation. With those kinds of increases, it's no wonder why it seems as though LVMH, Vuitton's parent company, might be looking to gobble up the independent French brand. And that's not the only place on the power list that LVMH makes it's mark. Spirits megabrands Moet & Chandon and Hennessy, who account for the M and H in the conglomerate's name, also appear in the top ten. Take a look at the entire list, after the jump.1. Louis Vuitton2. Conspicuously missing are names like Prada, Dior and Tiffany, who I always assume will show up but often don't. Tiffany pulled in at number ten on last year's ranking but was displaced by the advent of Burberry for 2010. [via Fashionista.com]
